Welcome! I am Nicole Cormier, RD, LDN, a registered dietitian and owner of the nutrition counseling company Delicious Living Nutrition. Beyond being an RD, I am certified in adult weight management from the Commission of Dietetic Registration. I am also the author of The Everything Healthy College Cookbook and co-author of The Everything Juicing Book.
My background includes a Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a Dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. I have been a RD for over 5 years and am passionate about providing nutrition counseling for individuals and groups.
Firsthand experience taught me how food and lifestyle can simply change everything with my weight and IBS. It's not an all-or-nothing situation when it comes to finding your body’s balance. A few shifts in food choices and lifestyle can rock your world like they did mine. My weight became balanced and my IBS symptoms improved…and so did my attitude.
Many of my clients have an idea of better food choices to make. However, there are over 15,000 new food products being introduced to our food supply every year. The marketing gimmicks, even within the health food stores, can make it difficult to find the right foods to feel your best mentally and physically.
I am dedicated to supporting you to find your balance and rebuild a healthy and supportive relationship with food. Though nutrition counseling with me, we will work together on developing the best program that will have you reaching your goals and feeling your best.
- I enjoy cooking without recipes. I use a lean protein, vegetables, a healthy fat, and a whole grain with whatever herbs and spices I have around.
- I never leave home without a bag full of vegetables, fruits, and nuts. I know I’m going to need energy to be my best, so I set my environment up with high quality energy to get me through the day.
- I think of grocery shopping as a great opportunity to set the tone for healthy behaviors for the week. I have a snack before I go, make a list, fill at least half my cart with vegetables and fruit, and choose lean proteins from plants, dairy, and animals.
- I never order directly off the menu at restaurants. My favorite meal to order is grilled wild caught salmon with steamed vegetables and a baked potato.
