Nutrition Counseling: 

We will develop an individualized nutrition plan that addresses your current situation. By working together through your past health history, we will build a customized plan in order to address your current and future goals. Everyone’s body is unique and what one person follows as a “diet” plan may not work for another. Rather than using fad diets, or popularized and misleading nutrition techniques, we will work to increase your knowledge of and relationship with food. Popular diets simply fail at truly supporting us to build better relationships with food, and in many cases, destroy the good relationships we should have. We will help you develop confidence as a consumer and address your health goals with creativity and knowledge. The transition to a healthier lifestyle can seem daunting, so in addition to becoming more informed, you will receive personal support from our team.

We provide in-person, phone, Skype, & Facetime consultation’s for those seeking a Dietitian. This consultation is designed to review your past and present health history, and any concerns you might have. We will also discuss how we will work together to improve your overall health and happiness through our nutrition services.

Farmer’s Market Exploration:

Together, we will tour a local farmers’ market in order to introduce you to the many benefits of eating local agriculture. You will meet farmers and learn where they come from, why they choose to farm, how they grow their crops and how to eat seasonally. You will also get to know many artisans, bakers, food purveyors and market managers. By building a sense of connection to the people who grow and make your food, you will become engaged with your community and excited to make healthy and informed food choices. It is important to remember that you are not alone in your nutritional journey and that you have a host of local support.

Grocery Trip:

It all begins at the grocery store. Over 15,000 new food products are introduced every year. In addition, the media offers an abundance of conflicting information about what is healthy and what is not. We will help you navigate the store by helping you understand ingredient label misconceptions, the marketing gimmicks of health claims on food packaging, and what to actually purchase to better your health and stick to your plan. 


Pantry Peek-In:

What’s in your pantry? You may sometimes question the nutritional value of several food items in your home. Remodeling your pantry with me will change the way you feel. We will come to your home or business to help make sense of the nutritional value of each food item, clean your kitchen of unhealthy foods, and make suggestions to replenish your pantry. This is a great way to teach you and your family or co-workers about food labels and eating for energy. 


Cooking Lessons:

We will prepare a nutritionally-complete meal together in your home. By following our “intuitive cooking” method, you will be introduced to using ingredients in your pantry to make new meals that can be exciting and creative. It also encourages you to achieve your goals without waste and practice creating your own simple recipes without following others to a T. The meal will also feature seasonal and local ingredients, as well as information on utilizing these, to encourage a healthier lifestyle. It is important not to judge or compare our meals to others, but instead find your own combinations and creations. By the time we are done, you will feel inspired to take control over your cooking and confident in your food choices. You will also receive and taste nutritionally complete recipes that include a “What’s in Season?” hand-out to refer to each season.

Previous topics include plant-based cooking, basic nutrition, eating for energy, farm to table luncheons, juicing, healthier holidays, virtual grocery tours, local and sustainable living and more. Basic Wellness Programs:

Nutrition From the Ground Up

This workshop will support employees to understand the fundamentals of nutrition and their health. It will help them manage blood sugars, energy levels and hunger. The foods we choose to eat throughout the day can cause us to feel off-balanced, low energy levels and constant cravings. This workshop will give attendees the tools they’ll need to get started with a meal plan that fits their lifestyle and schedule.

Employees will have a seasonal and local food experience that incorporates tips for adding more seasonal foods into their diet for a healthier lifestyle. They will receive and taste nutritional complete recipes that include a “What’s in Season?” handout to bring home.
